Weekly Weigh In 7 &8

I missed my weekly weigh in last week as I was so busy and stressed so I’m going to combine week 7 and 8 together.

Weight- I have stayed the same weight this past 2 weeks and I am so happy with this. I went out for dinner last Saturday night, ate like a horse in Glasgow and went out for my Sunday lunch yesterday! Whoops! However I am looking forward to Lent so I can lose some more weight.

Shopping- I throw my hands in the hair and admit I am a Frugal February Fail! L When I am told I can’t shop I shop and when I have loads of money and can shop I don’t. I am going to try so much harder over Lent, but another post will follow.

University- Even though I said in my last post that I am going to graduate, I do intend to go back to University as I want to be a teacher. I had an interview last week and I have applied for another course today. Stressed is not the word….I just want things to work out.

Blogging and Twitter- I can’t get over how friendly everyone one is both on this and on Twitter. I have 29 followers and I am grateful for every one of them. It makes writing this easier as I know that I’m not writing to myself. And everyone on Twitter is super friendly and I’m glad that I started it.

Ideas- Even though I haven't got loads of posts up on this I would like some feedback from you as to what you what like to read. I have some ideas but I would like a bit more inspiration. So come on guys and girls…help me out. If you have any requests or ideas feel free to comment me, message me or Tweet me.

Make Up Storage (Pic Heavy)

I just tidied my room a bit and decided to do a make up storage post. I find posts like these really interesting as I am a secret nosey-parker. I am going to point out that I am not bragging or trying to show off. I do have more than some people and less than others, but Im happy at the minute with what I have got. So here goes….

I store my entire makeup collection on my table. I got this table many moons ago when I was 10 and have since used it to store my make up on.

I got both the drawer sets in my local Poundstretcher. I cannot remember the exact price but they were both under £10.

Drawer 1: Pigments, single eyeshadows and small eyeshadow trios

Drawer 2 – Blush, Bronzer and Highlighters

Drawer 3 – Foundation, Concealor and Powder

Drawer 4 and 5 – Mascara, Liquid Liner & Gel Liner and Lipstick

Drawer 6 and 7 – Lipgloss and Eye, Face and Lip Primers

Area 8 – Brushes, MAC Lipstick, Sharpeners and random Nail Varnish

Area 9 – Palettes, Box of everyday skincare, Urban Decay Liners, Lip Liners and Pen & Pencil Eye Liners

Glasgow Goodies

Hey everyone, sorry for being so slack but if you follow me on Twitter you will have known that I had an interview on yesterday. It was over in Glasgow and off course I had to squeeze in a bit of shopping so I hope you enjoy this post.

I was only going over for 2 days in total so I just brought a biggish Primark bag. However I had to buy a new hand luggage case (whoops) as I bought a bit much in Primark. However some of this stuff is for my friend’s birthday so that makes me feel a bit better. So anyway here goes...

I loved Glasgow and I wish I had taken my camera as the buildings and some of the views are amazing. My favourite purchases were definitely the black charm bracelets. I find them very “Thomas Sabo”ish. I was trying to find my way back for more, but even with brilliant directions from the lovely Steph via Twitter , I couldn’t find it. Maybe next time as I am def going back again.

Favourites on Friday

This is a new weekly post that I thought I would start on my blog. Sorry if anyone else does it…..I don’t mean to copy. (Let me know and I will credit you).

This week I have been loving the new 17 Photo Flawless Foundation and Primer.

I have to say I was a bit sceptical about these products. I normally wear Estee Lauder’s Double Wear but I ran out and needed an alternative. I nipped into my local Boots one day and seen these on offer. The foundation retails at £6.29 and the primer is £4.99. When I purchased then the primer was free when you bought the foundation.

I apply the primer with my fingers as I find that this works best. The primer has a similar texture to the Smashbox primer. (For those who do not know what that feels like it is a kind of siliconey/ creamy texture.) Once rubbed in the skin feels super smooth and soft.

I apply 1 or 2 pumps of this foundation with either my fingers or a flat top kabuki brush. It makes my skin look flawless and I don’t even need concealer with it. First impressions where good but the real test was if it could stay put throughout the day. I decided to test it out on a Wednesday as I work my two jobs that day. I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t need to reapply or touch up. It stayed on right through the day and didn’t go patchy. It says that it gives a matt finish but I find that it gives my skin a dewy look.

I would definitely recommend these products and I will definitely be repurchasing.

Star Gazer Polish

These swatches were requested by the lovely Zoe. I bought them on Wednesday and featured them in my “Shopping Spree” post.

I bought these polishes in New Look for £2.50 each and they are from the StarGazer brand...

I am bad at describing colours so bear with me…

(Please excuse the state of my nails and cuticles in these pictures. They look rank.)

The purple shade (509) I would say is a purple meets brown meets grey type of shade *to me anyway*. The pink shade (501) is a milky baby pink colour. These colours both apply lovely and dry really quickly. I am definitely on the look out for some more of these StarGazer polishes as they are cheap and cheerful.

Any shades you would recommend?!

Weekly Weigh-in 6

Monday has rolled around again...

Weight- I have out on 2lb this week but I am totally not surprised. I seem to have lost my dedication to wanting to lose weight. Last week I went for a Chinese, which I am sure didn’t help. This week I vow to lose that 2lb. I will try and stay away from chocolate and sweets. I really do want to lose weight for a special event in July.

Graduation- I said in my New Years Resolution post that one of my promises was to pass my exam and therefore graduate. Guess what??? I did it!! I am going to graduate in July and I am so proud of myself. I hated my course from the beginning of 2^nd year but stayed at it as I had no idea what I wanted to do. I failed one of my final modules and had to retake part of the year and I eventually passed.

Night’s out- On Saturday night I went out with 2 of my best friends. We haven’t been out together in over a year but we just picked up were we left it. It was so nice to go out and have a good night with people that I love being in my life. I can’t wait to go out with them again. (However because of these girls there was no Simple Saturday post- sorry)

Mid term- I am on a 3 day holiday from one of my jobs. It is mid term this week and I am loving the lie ins already. I was off last week from my other job and I could definitely get used to not working. However, come Thursday I will be back at both so I may as well enjoy it while I'm off.

Valentines day- I can’t not mention this today. I hate Valentines Day and always have but the boy was in a bad mood the other after finding out that he didn’t get the job he applied for, so I bought him a card to cheer him up. I also bought him Jelly Tots, a Terry’s Chocolate Orange and some Refresher bars (can you see the romantic in me?!). Also today I got a rose…from my daddy. I get one every year from him and I love it.
