Weekly Weigh In 12

Hey everyone, so another super fast week as passed. I can’t believe it is nearly April. We are nearly finished ¼ of 2011. Kinda scary thinking about it like that. Last week was a good week for me.

1 – Weight - I lost 3.2pounds last week! I am on target for Onna's weight loss challenge. I am so happy with this. I honestly didn’t expect anything as I am enjoying a few more treats but then again I am exercising. I am starting to love the feeling after exercising when I'm in the shower so proud that I had a good workout. Anyone else like that? I am currently working on a few recipe posts for you all as I am getting into the healthy eating habit.

2- Cooking. I have been cooking so much this week. I made dinner all weekend and I baked soda bread on Sunday morning which is all gone already. I love chopping all the ingredients up, mixing it all in a pot and I especially love it when everyone loves my food. When I cook I know what’s in my food and therefore feel it is better for me.

3 – TLC- I am in need of some TLC, not from anyone else but myself. I need to start treating my hair more often and myself as well. I had a bath the other night for the first time in yonks (I’m not dirty I just like showers more), and I remembered why I like them so much. Just lying with a face pack on thinking of absolutely nothing. It is going to happen more often. I feel better with a tan but I never make time to put on fake tan. I have a feeling that April is going to be all about me J

4 – Make up – I have been finding gems in my collection that I forgot I had, but the other day when I was interview shopping I went to Superdrug. Things fell into my basket and money fell out of my purse. I will be doing a haul soon and I didn’t spend that much money for what I got

5 – Blog – I know that this topic makes a regular occurrence in my Weekly- Weighs but I can’t help it. I have 71 followers at the minute and I am thankful to each and everyone of you. I think I am going to have a giveaway at 100 subbies just to show you all how much I care. And I am going to try my hardest and blog more. Pinky Promise

So what have you been up to this week? PS I am loving the change in the brightness at night

Flutter Them Red Cherry #46 Lashes

Here is part 1 of my Flutter Them Lashes series. I realise now that the pictures are not the best but I am trying to work on them for the next parts.

The lashes that I used first were my Red Cherry lashes in #46.

I wore them on St. Patrick’s Day and then again on Sunday. My pictures from Sunday came out rubbish though so I am cheating and using my St. Patrick’s Day pictures (note the green eyeshadow).

When I was wearing them to work only 2 girls noticed and it was because I was looking down. The lashes look completely natural and blended in well with my own lashes. Application was fast, which is a surprise for me as I normally take a lifetime putting on lashes. They kept their shape well and I could most certainly use them another 2 times. I would definitely recommend these lashes to anyone and may buy a few back up pairs for myself.

 Have you tried these lashes?

Weekly Weigh In 11

I am going to start off by saying hello to all my new followers *waves*. I am currently on 66 which is amazing as I never thought I would even get 10 so big hug.

Weight- From the beginning of Lent (Wednesday 9th March) I have lost 5 pounds! I am so happy with this J I am going to take a picture of my weight every Monday morning and keep you all updated with a picture in the sidebar. (This is so hard for me as even my boyfriend doesn’t know my weight but I need motivation). I am also taking part in Onna’s weight loss challenge so I need to stay motivated to complete it. I haven’t been doing much exercise but I will be going to the gym more often. I am eating a lot better and if anyone would be interested in some recipe posts feel free to let me know.

Money – At the start of Lent I had intended to save £1000. This is so unrealistic for me so I have scrapped that idea and I’m just going to save what I can but a minimum of £500. I am not buying anything that I don’t need so I have no idea where my money is going. And my car insurance is due for renewal at the end of this month. L

University – This is stressing me out. I really want to go back to University in September to become a primary school teacher. I just haven’t been lucky so far at getting a place but fingers crossed. However *what is meant to be will not pass you by*

Positivity – After the horrible tragedy’s that happened lately in the world *my thought and prayers go to them all* I have realised that I am actually quite lucky. I may not have everything I want (LV Neverfull MM), but I have everything I need to live a happy life. I have friends, family and dreams to get me through my tough times. I am not going to take anything or granted anymore. I feel in such a better mood lately because negative thoughts have been banished from my mind.

This was quite a long rambly post so congratulations if you have got to the end. What have you been up to this week? Do you have any requests?

PS thanks again to all my followers old and new

Flutter Them Lashes

This post is going to be my current false eyelash collection.

I don’t wear fake lashes that much and I have only just started “collecting” them. I find it handy to have a stash in my drawer so whenever I fancy some fluttery lashes I can just hoke about and see what ones I want to wear that day. I don’t have any expensive ones, as I hate paying £5 on a pair of lashes that I will only wear once (if this series is popular I might invest in some so I can review them for you). I am however going to try and use some of the lashes that I currently have more than once.  I am hoping to do a review once a week on a different pair so hopefully you can find some cheaper ones that work for you.

Ebay lashes

I for all these lashes of eBay for peanuts. 4 boxes came as a set, the other box were just on its own. If you type “fake eyelashes” into eBay then you will find loads of these kinds.

Poundland Lashes

One day as I was walking around Poundland I came across these. I have wore a few other pairs of lashes from Poundland and find that they were really nice on and easy to apply. Definitely check out your local Poundland.

Red Cherry Lashes

After seeing these feature in so many American haul videos I was desperate to try them. To buy them off the UK eBay will cost you a bomb. I got these 3 sets of lashes for £5.66 which included postage from here.

Katie Price, Burlesque Beauty and Glam Eyes

I got these 2 pairs of Katie Price lashes in my local B&M Bargains for £2.99 each. You can also buy them from here for £4.99. I haven’t tried these yet so I can’t say for sure if they are worth £4.99. I am excited to try the “Wild” ones though. The Burlesque Beauty lashes are also from B&M Bargains and I think these were £1.79 however I am not 100% sure. I found them on eBay as well if you want to take a look. The last pair of lashes with the “diamond” strip were £3.50 from Peacocks. I cannot wait to find the righ occasion to wear them.

I will hopefully get reviewing all these lashes for you soon and if you have any questions feel free to ask me.

Green Monster

As you all know I have recently been on a bit of a health kick. I want to lose weight and get fitter. I was watching Gemma on Youtube the other day and she made a Green Monster. This inspired me to make my very first one today. And can I add it was yummy.

So here’s what I used:

2 Cups of Spinach (I didn’t cook mine)
1 Cup of Soya Milk
1 Banana
2 Strawberries (Prob should have used a bit more)
And a small handful of ice cubes

I threw everything in the blender and whizzed them together for about 15 seconds to make sure all the lumps and bumps were away. I was a little scared to taste it as it was VERY green but I tried it and I loved it. It is very filling and can see myself drinking this a lot more. However next time I will be adding more strawberries.

Have you ever tried a Green Monster…What do you think of them?

Dear 16 year old me

Feeling inspired by Hayley and Charli I decided to write myself a letter,

Dear 16 year old me,

What a day to celebrate your birthday…with a GCSE. You probably should have studied more, so try and cram in as much as you can before your next one. Don’t pick your A-Level subjects based on what your friends are doing or how much you like the teacher.

You get a lot of trust this year when your parents let you go out to over 18 discos. You don’t have to drink just because it’s served. You always do stupid things when your drunk and sometimes it’s not worth it. The embarrassment will be worse than the hangovers sometimes.

You will get hurt by boys that you think you love them…but guess what? You don’t love them so don’t cry so much. You will realise in time that they aren’t worth it. Boys will come and go until you know you have met the right one and believe me you will know. The boy you least expect will turn out to be the love of your life. Don’t let people try and break you up and stop listening to stupid rumours. And don’t try and convince yourself that you didn’t kiss him when you know you did. Some day you will be grateful of it.

Some friends will start to leave you out a little bit because they are in “love”. Get used to it because even though three of you hang about together, these friends will always be closer and have more in common. Don’t forget other friends that are a year younger than you...these might just turn out to be the ones that believe in you more.

Don’t take your figure for granted. Stop eating as much rubbish and drinking as much vodka. Go to the gym and keep an eye on your waistline. Keep your belly button piercing in because you are not as fat as you think. You might want to calm down on the fake tanning because orange is not a good look on you. And all your hair off your face does NOT suit you.

Never let anyone put you down or tell you that you aren’t smart enough because you are. Not everyone at school is going to like you so don’t let it get you down. You are worth more than them. Talk about problems instead if bottling them up.

So 16 year old me I have just a few more words. Be yourself and don’t change because you think people want you to. Someday someone is going to love you for you.

Love, Your 21 year old self
xx

Weekly Weigh In 10

I didn’t mean to post this so late but I have just been super busy

Weight- Again this week I didn’t weigh myself! I kind of forgot this morning and I hate weighing myself at night but I promise I will next week for you all.

Food- I am off basically everything nice so in order to get my food intake I have turned to cooking. I have made some fab dinners this week and I’m hoping they will help me lose weight as they are all healthy. If you would like any recipes or ideas feel free to let me know

Gym- I had my gym induction on Saturday and went for the first time today. I could do with some inspiration though and a few ideas for a playlist as I think music helps me stay focused.

Lent- My lent is going good for me. I haven’t broken it but I am however craving some chocolate. I’m using Lent as a way to stay strict and diet.

Work- I have been busy with my 2 works and other things at the minute. I am off from one job however all week with St. Patricks Day so this will hopefully give me time for posts and catching up on all the blogs in my feed.

So it’s short and sweet this week but I hope I have kept you all up to date with me. I am going to try harder to weight myself next week. I am seriously considering Slimming World. Are any of you on it? Is it worth it?

If you have any gym playlist recommendations please let me know as I need inspiration and ideas. What do you listen to at the gym?

40 Days and 40 Nights

Every year for Lent I set myself some guidelines and every year I stick to them. This year I am going to add a few goals and fingers crossed I’ll get there.

This year for lent I am going off:
*sweets
*chocolate
*biscuits
*crisps
*fizzy drinks
*white bread/ white rice
*make up/clothes(unless it is a must)/ eBay/magazine shopping
*takeaways

I plan on
*exercising at least 3 times a week
*eating more fruit and vegetables
*drinking at least 1.5 litres of water a day
*reading a lot more
*taking my vitamins everyday

This lent I also have two goals which are
*lose at least 20lb
*save at least £1000

Written down it all seems like an awful lot but hopefully my willpower will kick in and help me to fulfil my Lenten promises. I will keep you all updated with my Lenten plan in my Weekly Weigh-in and also I will keep tabs on it all in a side bar.

Wish me luck

So for everyone who takes part in Lent what are you going off this year?

Weekly Weigh In 9

I would like to start off by saying a huge thank you to all my followers both old and new. I now have 58 followers which is amazing. I have decided to do a bit of a giveaway when I reach 100 as a way of saying thank you to you all.

Weight- I didn’t weigh myself today as I just know I have put on weight. I have eaten like a horse for the whole week. I know this is cheating but I am starting a new challenge which I will be posting about on Wednesday.

Shopping- I went crazy on eBay this past week. I have literally spent a fortune on things that I do not need. I am stocking up and again you will all see why on Wednesday.

Hair – I decided that I wanted to go back to my dark brown hair again. My hair was a gingery colour as it was a blonde went wrong home job. I like having brown hair again but I wonder when I will look to change it.

Stuck in a rut – I always tend to wear the same thing to work – dress and tights or a skirt and tights. I need to inject a bit of variety in my wardrobe and I have no idea where to start. I think I need to find a style that suits me and my personality. I am also stuck in a rut regarding hairstyles so if you have a tutorial or know any good hair sites please let me know.

Energy – I know this is random but lately I have had a total lack of energy. I feel sluggish and tired by 5 o clock. I know that I need to exercise more so I’m hoping that between doing that and eating healthier I will start to feel better.

Internet – Again I am going to say a big thank you to everyone who helped me reach my 55 followers. Some lovely girls on Twitter tweeted about my blog and made it happen. The girls I talk to on Twitter are all so lovely and I wish I could meet them all.

What have you been up to this? Have you any ideas to help me out?

Sticker Mania

While I was in my local chemist the other day I came across some nail stickers. I don’t think I have ever used since I passed the age of 12. I love the whole nail art thing but I am not talented enough for that. The stickers in my set came with dragonflys, flowers and stars.

Armed with a pink nail varish, my new flower stickers and a topcoat my nails turned out like this….

I have had so many comments on them. The stickers were only £1.99 for 3 sheets and I bought mine in Semi-Chem.

What do you think of nail art? Do you need to cheat and use stickers as well?

Fab in Feb

My go to products in Feb!

Shroom by MAC - I love this colour as a highlight when I have something dark going on all over the eyelid
All That Glitters by MAC - This is a lovely everyday all over the lid colour. I have been using this on its own a lot this past month
Strawberry Milk lipstick by NYX - A pale baby pink colour that doesn't make me look dead or silly
106 Lip Jam by GOSH - I bought this lip gloss not that long ago and I love it! It smells like bubblegum and is a lovely finish on the lips
Sweet Bronze ColorDefiner by Maybelline - I use this colour as a base for my eyeshadows but sometimes if I am in a rush I just use this on its own. It has a lovely colour pay off and stays put all day
Zero eyeliner by Urban Decay - This has been the eyeliner of choice this past month. Stays put all day and it is easy to blend out
Illuminating Moisture Cream by Superdrug - I use this moisturiser under my make up and it gives me a nice dewy look

Random Faves of the Month

Phil Smith Dry Shampoo- Smells amazing, works well and was on offer. What is there to not love?!
Off Your Face wipes by Soap and Glory - I got this at Christmas and I only opened them at the beginning of February. The wipes smell lovely and the textured cloth gets all the make up off and leaves my skin feeling clean
Anti- Snap by Redken - I bought this after watching Jennifer's video on Youtube and I decided I needed it in my life. This product makes my hair so soft and I think it does help my spilt ends. It also smells divine

What have you loved this month?! Have you tried any of my faves...let me know what you though of them!
